A viral video from Ghaziabad shows a man being thrashed by society staff during an argument over water shortage. The incident occurred on Sunday and was captured on CCTV.

A video from a high-rise society in Ghaziabad is going viral where a man is thrashed by society staff during an argument over water shortage. The incident occurred on Sunday in Saya Gold Avenue society.

As per the CCTV footage, the man can be seen sitting in an office complaining about the water shortage issue to the maintenance staff. The conversation escalated and both stood up and started yelling at each other. The resident pushed the staff member and in retaliation the staff punched and thrashed him.

Other staff members were trying to intervene and stop the fight. Watch the video here.

People on X reacted sharply to the video and raised safety concerns. “In Flats of Ghaziabad, Real Owners are maintenance staffs who are actually local goons. You’re never Safe here, just pay EMI & Bills and keep Ur Head Down. No feeling of Owner. One friend had similar experience years back when complaint of faulty LIFT, got threat to thode down," a user commented.

“Living in gated society is like not having ownership at all i feel its foolish to buy flats in Metro cities and pay crazy amount for that, its a very control environment with lots of foolish rules and regulations you have to follow. & on top of that you have to pay maintenance," another comment reads.

“Maintenance staff and builders are goons and the other problem is middle class family will never come together to fight injustice, they will always do fact check who has raised hand first, whose fault, how started? You pay fees and in return you get these and corrupted system," users’ comment reads.
