Three Manchester United stars are expected to travel to India as part of a commercial commitment after their dismal end to their season, where they finished 15th in the Premier League and also fell short in the Europa League final.

According to a report by The Athletic, it is suggested that three players, in this came being Andre Onana, Harry Maguire and Diogo Dalot, will travel to India for a commercial appearance.

The report also claims that the India trip will allow the players to have an early end to their commitments for the season and also allow the stars to have some time off as well.

After the appointment of Ruben Amorim as the new manager of the club after sacking Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils suffered a horrendous end to their season, barely scraping above the relegation zone. They finished their league fixtures with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa to deny Unai Emery’s side a spot in the Champions League as they finished sixth in the points table.

Coming back to United, the club only managed to score 42 points from the 38 games in the domestic season. With 44 goals scored and 54 conceded, it remains their worst season in the English top-flight.

But the club are already active in the transfer market with Fabrizio Romano mentioning that they have agreed to a deal to bring in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ star attacker, Matheus Cunha, for a reported deal worth 62.5 million GBP. The player has also reportedly agreed to join the club, and the final confirmation has yet to come from the club after necessary paperwork has been completed.

The club are already on their post-season tour of Asia, where they have two matches, including one with the Hong Kong national team. They have taken 32 players on the trip, which includes star players like Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and others.

The Red Devils are under big pressure to redeem themselves and will have a tough task of rebuilding with new players and departures of some of the older stars as well. But it remains to be seen if the 20-time Premier League champions can find their feet and get back to winning ways in the post-Ferguson era.
