Manchester United have had a rough few years, and that's putting it lightly. The Premier League team, under coach Ruben Amorim, has not been able to taste a lot of victories in recent times. After what was supposed to be a spotless European run at the UEFA League last season, where the team reached the finals without a single loss, their fortunes turned when they lost the last match of the championship to none other than Premier League rivals - Tottenham Hotspur. The Spurs weren't able to win a single trophy in the last 17 years, and soccer fans from around the world have been mocking United fans for that ever since. And that is exactly what WWE star Finn Balor tried to do, when he wore a Tottenham Hotspur T-shirt and held up a cutout of the UEFA trophy, when the promotion reached Manchester for an off-air show.

Finn Balor mocks Manchester United at WWE's Manchester show

Finn Balor, an Irish national by birth, is a loyal fan of the Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

And during his latest appearance at Manchester, where the Stamford-based promotion had an off-air show for the fans, he did what any Spurs fan would do - gloat about their win against Manchester United at the UEFA League finals. He pulled out a Spurs T-shirt and held up a cutout of the UEFA trophy along with a sign that read "AND WE BEAT MAN CITY 2-NIL," mocking the blue supporters of Manchester City Football Club.

Being a Spurs fan, Finn had fun mocking the Mancunian WWE audience in the middle of a fight and was seen laughing along with the whole situation.

Both United and City fans were, of course, pissed at the reminder, but it was all in good fun. In an upside for the fans, the gloating didn't last long, and Balor ended up going down after a kick to the face by Penta. And the booing soon turned to cheers.

WWE will reach France soon for Clash in Paris

After their short UK and Ireland tour, WWE will be reaching France soon for the upcoming PPV event - Clash in Paris on August 31. Before that, they will stop by in Lyon for an episode of SmackDown on August 29, where the first-ever PPV in France took place last year.

Quite a few thrilling matches have been confirmed for the big night, and fans are no doubt excited to see what the wrestling promotion has in store.

From a John Cena vs. Logan Paul singles match to a Fatal Four-way match between Seth Rollins, CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso, to yet another singles match between Roman Reigns and Bronson Reed, and a championship title match between Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella - the night will have some high-octane matches.
