I had to change routes twice due to flooding

Mumbai continues to battle severe waterlogging following nearly three days of relentless rainfall, actor Naman Shaw who currently plays the lead role of Adit Saxena in the TV show Mangal Lakshmi reacted to the weather, giving fans a peek into his struggle during downpour. He shares, "Mumbai's monsoon rains are a mixed bag for me - I love the romance of it, but water logging makes commuting a challenge."He continued, "Yesterday, I had to change routes twice due to flooding. Locals have learned to adapt by leaving early, which helps. Luckily, my place is nearby, so I navigated home without much trouble. However, some colleagues faced a tougher time, with a few having to take shelter in a nearby hotel due to unsafe travel conditions.

My thoughts are with the daily wage crew members who commute from far-off areas by train.

When trains aren't running, it's tough for them. Thankfully, the production team stepped in to provide food and accommodations on set, which was a huge relief."As not everyone is privileged to escape, Naman seemed concerned about the unprivileged. He added, 'The monsoon rains in Mumbai can be quite unpredictable, and it's not uncommon for people to get stranded due to flooding.

However, it's heartening to see the community come together to help each other out. The videos of people rescuing drivers and passengers from submerged cars are a testament to the city's spirit of compassion and solidarity.""Many people also open their homes and shops to provide shelter to stray dogs and it's essential to recognize their needs during heavy rainfall," he said.He concluded adding, "The city's response to monsoon challenges is indeed a reflection of its people's resilience and kindness.

By looking out for each other, including the most vulnerable, Mumbaikars show that even in difficult times, humanity and compassion can shine through."Naman whose acting journey began with his participation in the talent hunt show India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj in 2004, is known for featuring in shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kairee — Rishta Khatta Meetha, Kasamh Se.
