NEW DELHI: Senior AAP functionary and former deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Monday skipped the summons served by the anti-corruption branch in a case related to an alleged scam in the construction of classrooms in staterun schools.
AAP stated that the former deputy CM’s lawyer submitted a reply to the summons and sought a new date to appear before ACB. Former PWD minister Satyendar Jain was summoned for questioning in the same case on June 6. The complaint alleged a scam of over Rs 2,000 crore in the construction of 12,748 classrooms at a very high and inflated cost.AAP sources said Sisodia had a pre-planned engagement.
