Meg Ryan, in her early years in the entertainment industry, was a staple name in the romantic-comedy genre. The actress was a part of some of the most popular films in the genre in the 90s and early 2000s, which included, but are not limited to, ‘Sleepless in Seattle’, ‘You’ve Got Mail’, ‘When Harry Met Sally’, and ‘What Happens Later’, to name a few.
In a recent interview, the star opened up about how important such films have been in many people’s lives, and how a lot of individuals have even come up to her to talk about her rom-com films.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the idol attended a press conference at the Tribeca Festival Lisboa, where she talked about her career and how her films have been an inspiration for many people. She shared that romantic comedy as a genre is very popular amongst the masses, and that many people find a lot of solace and comfort in such films.
She revealed that she or the production team behind some of her biggest hits ever thought that they were in the “golden age” of the genre, but somehow it managed to stand out in the crowd.She further added, “A lot of people tell me they watch my movies when they’re sick,” and also added how much she appreciates such comments as well.

She shared that aside from other people, even her own daughter loves such films as well. She shared that she has a tendency to appreciate the fact that the genre itself brings a lot of comfort for many people. “I think she loves the feeling that in that world, everything’s all right, the world’s gonna be okay. People fall in love, so they’re very comforting,” she added on.
