Lucknow: UP BJP general secretary (Organisation) Dharampal Singh played a key role in the success of Tuesday protest. The party had set up a central war room, with Dharampal personally overseeing micro-level planning.A structured mobilisation strategy was rolled out through on-ground meetings in Barabanki, Unnao, and across Lucknow’s district and metropolitan units. Each district formed women-led protest groups under designated rally leaders, while at the mandal level, coordinators compiled participant lists and managed logistics.Transport was systematically arranged, with women bus in-charges ensuring that participants from different mandals reached district centres before moving together to the rally.
Women were not just participants but also the backbone of the event’s execution. From stage management to food arrangements, key organisational responsibilities were handled by them, reflecting both scale and discipline in planning.
The groundwork, laid well in advance, highlighted the party’s emphasis on women’s mobilisation and participation. The developments point to a growing assertion among women in Uttar Pradesh, suggesting a shift toward more active and self-driven political engagement.
