MG M9 electric MPV launched in India: All you need to know about Kia Carnival's e-rival

electric MPV

in India. The model will be sold through the company’s luxury arm,

MG Select

, and carries a starting price of Rs 69.90 lakh, ex-showroom. This will be the brand’s most expensive model on our shores and doesn’t have a direct electric rival but will lock horns against Kia’s ICE offering, Carnival. Bookings are now open with a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. Deliveries are set to begin on August 10, 2025. Here’s everything that you need to know about the model.

The model stretches over 5.2 metres in length, and the design sticks to a boxy, MPV-like silhouette. It offers three paint options: Pearl Lustre White, Metal Black, and Concrete Grey. Key highlights include sleek LED headlamps, connected LED tail lamp, closed-off grille, 19-inch alloy wheels with chrome accents and more. Speaking of the powertrain and performance, the M9 draws its power from a 90 kWh lithium NMC battery through a front-mounted electric motor delivering peak outputs of 245 hp and 350 Nm. MG claims a certified range of 548km on a full charge. The powertrain is paired with front-wheel drive, and buyers will receive both an 11 kW wall box charger with installation and a portable 3.3 kW unit as standard.

Inside, the rear cabin features twin Presidential seats with 16-way adjustment, massage functions, heating, ventilation, and even fold-out ottomans. A standout element is the digital arm rest, which manages multiple seat and entertainment functions.
