has finally launched the much-anticipated M9
electric MPV
in India. The model will be sold through the company’s luxury arm,
MG Select
, and carries a starting price of Rs 69.90 lakh, ex-showroom. This will be the brand’s most expensive model on our shores and doesn’t have a direct electric rival but will lock horns against Kia’s ICE offering, Carnival. Bookings are now open with a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. Deliveries are set to begin on August 10, 2025. Here’s everything that you need to know about the model.
MG M9 electric MPV: All you need to know
The model stretches over 5.2 metres in length, and the design sticks to a boxy, MPV-like silhouette. It offers three paint options: Pearl Lustre White, Metal Black, and Concrete Grey. Key highlights include sleek LED headlamps, connected LED tail lamp, closed-off grille, 19-inch alloy wheels with chrome accents and more. Speaking of the powertrain and performance, the M9 draws its power from a 90 kWh lithium NMC battery through a front-mounted electric motor delivering peak outputs of 245 hp and 350 Nm. MG claims a certified range of 548km on a full charge. The powertrain is paired with front-wheel drive, and buyers will receive both an 11 kW wall box charger with installation and a portable 3.3 kW unit as standard.

Inside, the rear cabin features twin Presidential seats with 16-way adjustment, massage functions, heating, ventilation, and even fold-out ottomans. A standout element is the digital arm rest, which manages multiple seat and entertainment functions. On the safety front, the vehicle has secured 5-star ratings from both Euro NCAP and ANCAP crash tests.
