What a difference a year makes.
In 2025, 23XI Racing was battling off-track issues, forced to compete without a charter amid a legal dispute with the NASCAR Cup Series.
Fast forward to today, and the team co-owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin is rewriting the record books.
Tyler Reddick delivered a historic performance at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), winning the DuraMAX Texas Grand Prix to become the first driver in modern NASCAR history to win the opening three races of a season.
Daytona. Atlanta. COTA. Three tracks. Three victories.
Starting from the pole, Reddick dominated the 2.4-mile, 20-turn road course, leading 58 of 95 laps. The only real threat came from Shane van Gisbergen, NASCAR’s road-course ace, who had won the previous five road and street course Cup races.
Instead, Reddick slammed the door shut, crossing the line 3.944 seconds clear.
“It means the world," Reddick said. “To outlast him there and hold on for the win is just incredible."
Van Gisbergen could only tip his cap. “His driving was immaculate," he admitted. “It’s weird to be disappointed with second."
Jordan, watching from pit road, celebrated like it was the ’90s all over again. A man who knows a thing or two about three-peats, he praised Reddick’s composure under pressure.
“Everybody expected him to win three in a row, and that’s the hardest one," Jordan said. He was quick to credit Hamlin for assembling the team: “I just put up the money. Denny has done an unbelievable job."
After a winless 2025 season, Reddick now leads the standings by 70 points over teammate Bubba Wallace, with Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney also in pursuit.
