Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Saturday unveiled a series of measures to strengthen Rajasthan’s industrial ecosystem and expand opportunities for MSMEs, artisans and startups on the occasion of International MSME Day.Addressing the business community, Sharma said Rajasthan has emerged as the country’s fourth-largest MSME state with more than 33 lakh units. He said the state govt is committed to giving local products global recognition while building future-ready industries.The chief minister launched the Rajasthan Industrial Policy 2026 and announced several initiatives, including setting up handicraft and handloom haats under the PPP( Public-Private Partnership) model in Pushkar, Nathdwara, Jaisalmer and Alwar, financial assistance for processing units under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, and venture capital funding for 25 startups this year.He also reduced the capital subsidy period for MSMEs under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) from 10 years to seven years, lowered the minimum investment threshold for electronics and semiconductor component units to Rs 15 crore, and allowed projects approved under the Centre’s Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) to be implemented in up to five phases.Sharma also announced enhanced support for women and differently abled workers, increasing the monthly allowance from Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000. He launched the ODOP Coffee Table Book and the RAMP portal to boost MSME performance, besides distributing cheques worth over Rs 13 crore and land allotment letters under RIICO schemes to beneficiaries.
