Minister of Health and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav on Monday (June 15, 2026) said that the welfare and economic empowerment of farmers is the foremost priority of the NDA government.

The Minister launched the distribution of subsidised agricultural inputs and groundnut seeds to farmers ahead of the Kharif 2026-27 season, at Pothulanagepalli village in Dharmavaram constituency.

Addressing the farmers, Mr. Yadav said that the NDA governments at the Centre and State remained committed to strengthening the agricultural sector. He said Sri Sathya Sai district had been allotted 72,289 quintals of groundnut seed for the Kharif season, of which 12,928 quintals were earmarked for the Dharmavaram assembly constituency.

The Minister appealed to the farmers to adopt modern cultivation practices, diversify into high-value crops, and utilise the services of the Farmer-Producer Organisations for better market access. He further called for a gradual shift towards organic farming, highlighting the efficacy of ongoing infrastructure and water conservation projects in the Rayalaseema districts to support rural livelihoods and sustainable agricultural growth.
