Tamil Nadu Minister of Co-operatives V. Gandhiraj inaugurated the refurbished MLA office for Katpadi Assembly constituency in Vellore on Saturday.
Officials of PWD, who renovated the facility, said that the building was built in 2001 on a government plot. Spread over 950 sq.ft of space, the main office consists of a separate chamber for incumbent Katpadi MLA M. Sudhakar of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), office room, record room. A waiting hall for visitors where on an average 50-60 persons can be accommodated at a time is also available.
The renovated office is located in Ward 16 of Vellore Corporation on Fourth East Main Road, Gandhi Nagar in Katpadi. The facility also has spacious parking facilities for two-wheelers and cars. Washrooms and drinking water facilities are also available.
Katpadi MLA Mr. Sudhakar told The Hindu that the office will remain open between 9 a.m and 6 p.m on all days depending on the work schedule. Residents can meet him in-person to highlight public grievances in the constituency. They can also reach him by phone (0416-2247224).
