Agriculture Minister T. Siddique on Monday (July 6) reviewed the progress of the Wayanad township project being developed at Elstone Estate, Kalpetta, for survivors of the Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslide disaster. The Minister said a decision had been taken to acquire land for the proposed bridge at Chooralmala, adding that any further government approvals required for the project would be accorded special consideration to ensure its timely implementation. Mr. Siddique also said that procedures for constructing a bridge at Punchirimattam were progressing.
