Minor boy drowns in tank in Bengaluru

In a tragic incident, a four-year-old boy who had accompanied his parents to work at a farm house , drowned in a tank while his parents were harvesting maize in Lagumenahalli on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Arpit Reddy, son of Narasimhamurthy and Bhayamma.

According to the police, he was the couple’s only child. While they were busy at work, Arpith ventured away to play and slipped into an open tank filled with rain water .

An hour later, the couple noticed that Arpith was missing and searched for him before recovering his body in the tank.

The Gudibande police have registered a case of unnatural death and are awaiting the post-mortem report for further investigation.
