Minor Raped in Stationary Train Coach, Sahibganj Police Launch Manhunt

Dumka: A 22-year-old man allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl inside a coach of stationary train in a railway yard in Sahibganj district on Saturday, police said. The accused later fled the scene.According to the survivor’s family, the man had allegedly called the minor girl to the spot over the phone on the pretext of marriage. “He took her to the empty bogie for a conversation and raped her early on Saturday,” the girl’s brother in-law, who runs an eatery nearby, alleged in his complaint to the GRP.GRP officer in-charge Kailash Kumar Mahto, said, “We have registered a case on the basis of girl’s statement. Teams are conducting raids to arrest the accused. She has been sent for medical examination."
