 Teja Sajja's starrer records lowest single-day collection, earns Rs 2.50 crore

The fantasy adventure action film 'Mirai', starring Teja Sajja and directed by Karthik Gattamneni, has been enjoying a strong run at the box office since its release. The film includes high-octane action across multiple languages during its first week.

However, on its eighth day, the movie recorded its lowest single-day collection so far.As per a Sacnilk report, 'Mirai' has completed its first week's box office business with a total collection of Rs 65.1 crore. The Telugu version of the movie made the most in collections with Rs 50.71 crore, as the Hindi version collected Rs 13.1 crore. The Tamil version of 'Mirai' collected Rs 73 lakh, the Malayalam version of the movie collected Rs 18 lakh and the Kannada version of Mirai collected a total of Rs 4 lakh.On the second Friday of release, the movie had reduced earnings, making Rs 2.50 crore on Friday, which is the lowest daily earnings since its release. As of now, the total box office figure is at Rs 67.60 crore.

Theatre occupancy

In terms of occupancy, the Hindi version saw an overall 9.83 percent turnout on its second Friday. Morning shows recorded 4.57 percent, which picked up slightly in the afternoon with 8.25 percent. Interestingly, evening shows registered no significant occupancy but recovered later in the night with a jump to 16.66 percent.

This indicates that 'Mirai' is managing to pull audiences in prime-time slots.The Telugu version, however, remained strong in its home market. It registered an overall occupancy of 23.30 percent on the same day. Morning shows started at 14.49 percent, afternoon shows climbed to 23.11 percent, and while evening shows were negligible, night shows saw a sharp spike to 32.31 percent.

About 'Mirai'

Speaking about the film, 'Mirai' stars Teja Sajja as the protagonist named Vedha, who is destined to protect the powerful nine scriptures. The granthas possess powers that the dark forces try to get a hold of. Manchu Manoj plays the main villain who wants the granthas to take over the world.The movie also stars Ritika Nayak, Jagapathi Babu, Shriya Saran, and Jayaram in key roles.
