Mizoram govt reshuffles 2 senior IAS officers

Aizawl: Mizoram reshuffled senior IAS postings on Thursday, a week after CM Lalduhoma took charge of the department of personnel and administrative reforms (DP&AR) from home minister K Sapdanga.An order issued on Thursday said DP&AR and urban development and poverty alleviation secretary K Lalthawmmawia has been shifted to the school education and sports and youth services departments. Cooperation secretary Udit Prakash Rai has been assigned DP&AR in addition to cooperation and disaster management and rehabilitation.The posting of Rai to DP&AR has drawn criticism online, citing reports that the 2007-batch AGMUT cadre officer was suspended by the ministry of home affairs in July 2023 and faced investigations in multiple cases during earlier postings.
