Telangana government issued orders appointing Bodhan MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy as advisor to government (implementation of all flagship welfare and development schemes) with the rank and status of a Cabinet Minister.

The government has also issued orders appointing MLA  K. Prem Sagar Rao as Chairman of Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation with the status of Cabinet Minister.

A Special Chief Secretary or Principal Secretary or Secretary rank officer will head the flagship welfare and development schemes unit and will provide secretarial assistance to the Advisor. The unit will apprise the Cabinet from time to time on implementation of the schemes, as per a government order issued on Friday (October 31, 2025).

Mr. Reddy would review the implementation of all the schemes with district Collectors, Secretary of departments and other officers concerned. He shall be provided with a residential accommodation on part with a cabinet Minister, besides Minister’s Chambers secretariat.He will be a special invite to all cabinet meetings, as per the order.

Seven advisors currently

Currently, the State government has seven Advisors with the status of Cabinet Minister, including Vem Narender Reddy, Advisor to Chief Minister (Public Affairs); Mohammad Ali Shabbir, Advisor (SC,ST, OBC and Minorities Welfare); Harkara Venugopal Rao, Advisor (Protocol and Public Relations); Aditya Nath Das, Advisor (Irrigation and Water Resources); K Keshava Rao, Advisor (Public Affairs); Parige (Pocharam) Srinivas Reddy, Advisor (Agriculture) and AP Jitender Reddy, Advisor (Sports Affairs).
