MLA urges students to treat sports on par with studies

Member of Legislative Assembly Channareddy Patil Tunnur has advised students to treat sports on par with studies and achieve excellence by using the facilities being provided to them.

Inaugurating a sports meet organised at the District Sports Stadium in Yadgir on Monday, he said that students should avail themselves of facilities being provided to them by the government and actively participate in sports activities.

He also emphasised the need for providing the requisite coaching to local sportspersons by experts so as to ensure that they are able to excel in State-level events.

Over 500 students from different schools and colleges participated in the various games, including Kabaddi, yoga, volleyball and athletics events.

Chairman of the Yadgir Urban Development Authority Baburao Kadlur and others were present.
