Mohamed Salah Scripts History! Scores 250th Goal For Liverpool; Joins Elite PL List With Rooney, Shearer

Mohamed Salah scored his 250th Liverpool goal in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa, joining Ian Rush and Roger Hunt as club legends and marking seven stellar seasons.

Mohamed Salah reached yet another milestone in his glittering Liverpool career on Saturday, scoring his 250th goal for the club in a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Anfield.

The Egyptian forward capitalised on a costly error from Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, intercepting a loose pass and coolly steering home a first-time finish into an empty net.

It was a moment that not only sealed the win but also secured Salah’s place in Liverpool’s history books.

Salah now joins an exclusive list of club legends to reach the 250-goal mark, following only Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285).

The 32-year-old has achieved the feat in just over seven seasons since joining from AS Roma in 2017, underlining his remarkable consistency at the highest level.

“It’s a great feeling to score goals for such a big club," Salah told TNT Sports. “I’m so proud and happy about that achievement. You dream of moments like these, and it’s special to keep delivering for this team and these fans."

Salah’s 279 goal involvements overall –188 goals and 88 assists– in the Premier League (including two goals and one assist at Chelsea) now place him joint-third in the rankings, alongside Frank Lampard (177 goals, 102 assists).

The Liverpool forward is behind only Wayne Rooney’s total of 311 (208 goals, 103 assists) and Alan Shearer’s 324 (260 goals and 64 assists).

Liverpool and Salah’s form has come under scrutiny during a recent losing run but even as the Egyptian’s goals and assists have declined from last season’s stunning numbers, he continues to rack up new achievements.
