Stranded passengers from Dubai continued to arrive in Bengaluru in batches for the third consecutive day.
On Thursday, an Emirates flight with around 358 passengers arrived at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). The flight departed from the Dubai airport at 1.44 p.m. and landed at KIA at 6.45 p.m. Another flight EK-567 departed to Dubai at 8.06 p.m. with around 203 passengers.
Akasa Air had also announced that it will operate select flights to and from Jeddah to Bengaluru. The airline had announced on March 4 that QP 550 and QP 551 will operate between Bengaluru – Jeddah and Jeddah – Bengaluru
“The operation of the above-mentioned flights is based on our current safety assessment and may change subject to prevailing conditions,” the airline had said.
However, the airline did not provide details whether these flights operated as per schedule.
On Thursday too, there were cancellation of flights to and from the West Asia region. “Due to airspace restriction on Thursday, 14 arrivals and 16 departures were cancelled,” BIAL said.
