MP seeks Air Force land for expansion of Belagavi airport

Jagadish Shettar, former Chief Minister and MP, has urged Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to take steps to release about 16 acres of defence land for the expansion of the Belagavi airport at Sambra.

At a meeting with the Minister in New Delhi on Saturday (April 18), Mr. Shettar said that the land was proposed to be handed over by the Indian Air Force to the Airports Authority of India for the construction of a separate taxiway at Sambra.
