Murder-Suicide Investigation Unfolds in Deoghar: Young Couple Found Dead at Home

Dumka: A couple was found dead in their house at Belabagan–Kali Bari locality under town police station limits of Deoghar district on Wednesday.The deceased were identified as Ravi Sharma (30), and his wife Lovely Sharma (24), who were married for about a year.

The house where the couple lived, according to the police, was locked from the inside.

When the door did not open for a long time, neighbours alerted the police, and the door was broken open when the couple's bodies were discovered."Preliminary investigation points to a possible case of murder followed by suicide, but the exact cause will be confirmed only after the postmortem," said a police officer.Both bore stabbing marks on their bodies. Police have sent the bodies for autopsy at the Deoghar Sadar Hospital, and further investigation is underway, the police officer added.Reports suggest that the couple had disputes since their marriage. Neighbours told police that the couple had a heated exchange of words late Tuesday night.
