Muslim community from Ambala’s Naraingarh sends 10 vehicles of relief material for flood-affected area of Punjab

AMBALA: In a positive gesture of unity at the time of disaster and of brotherhood between Punjab and Haryana, the Muslim community from Ambala district’s small town Naraingarh has sent 10 vehicles loaded with relief material to flood-affected areas of Punjab.Madrasa Zeenat-Ul-Uloom of Naraingarh gave a call to its community in the town after deciding to send relief material to Punjab, following which, it received an overwhelming response and within no time, it managed to get a large quantity of aid.The Najim of this Madrasa in Naraingarh, Nisar Ahmed said that we came to know through media and social media that Punjab has been affected seriously by flood and thousands of families have been affected as they lost their livelihood, crops, livestock and homes.Nisar Ahmed said, “Every religion teaches unity and the purpose of religion is to stand with each other at the time of hardship. We announced in our community that we plan to send relief material to flood affected people in Punjab and the response from the community was very overwhelming that we sent 10 vehicles (3 trucks and 7 pick-ups) laden with flood relief material. I never saw such jalwa (splendour) at a short call.

We still have material in stock at our Madrasa in Naraingarh, which would be sent later as per need.”Nisar added that he along with 65-70 youth of his community has reached Ajnala area in Amritsar to distribute the relief material to the affected people. He added that before leaving for Punjab, we gathered our community and prayed before Allah for the welfare of all Punjabis and success to our mission.To a query, Nisar said, “We are in contact with some local people and we plan to take the relief to rural areas where people are mostly affected by floods.”
