It seems Asmongold fans are going to be hugely disappointed as the popular Twitch streamer is going for an indefinite streaming hiatus. Zack Hoyt aka “Asmongold” is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the world of streaming, and his absence is surely going to hurt his avid followers.This decision comes out after the burnout from the continuous streaming stress and his father’s critical medical condition. Let’s explore all the reasons behind Asmongold’s break from livestreaming and when we can possibly see him behind his streaming setup once again.

Why is Asmongold going for a streaming hiatus?

It’s not like Asmongold has disappeared from the scene recently as he already expressed a mental toll on taking up the demands of streaming along with his family responsibility where he hinted at a possible six month hiatus in August 2025.

However, things became more concerning when this popular American streamer announced on Twitter that his father is suffering from Pancreatic Cancer.

Asmongold stated in his tweet that his father was taken to the hospital for Pneumonia at first, but later on it was found out from a test that revealed acute liver failure. However, things became more tragic as that symptom turned out to be Pancreatic Cancer. Zack’s father took chemotherapy as well but in the second instance, he faced severe difficulties like inconsistent breathing.

Asmongold’s father showed marginal improvements but in a broader concern, his health is not in a good condition right now. So, the streamer is going to put an indefinite break to his streaming career as of now.

When will Asmongold resume streaming?

At the end of the tweet, Asmongold stated that his obligation to his father will take priority as he has stopped livestreaming for now. But there is no certainty on when he will again start streaming. He stated that he doesn’t have a timeframe or an expectation keeping in mind “how uncertain things are right now.”However, Asmongold also assured that he will update all of us about his situation or his probable return timeframe in streaming. Till then, fans are going to miss Asmongold for sure.Looking at the health condition of Asmongold’s father, it was quite obvious that as a son, he would take such a decision.
