V.K. Sasikala on Monday said the AIADMK was in a weaker position and she planned to revive it.
“The issues in the party are complex and only an experienced person can resolve them. I am here to rectify the shortcomings. You wait and see in the coming days,” she told reporters in Chennai, without disclosing further details.
Ms. Sasikala, former interim general secretary of the AIADMK, also supported the sanitation workers and said the DMK had not fulfilled its promise of regularising their jobs. She added that the privatisation move by the previous AIADMK regime was also wrong.
Ms. Sasikala alleged that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was not focused on governance and his party should not retain power.
