The Indian Institute of Educational Theatre (IIET), Mysuru, continues its innovative initiative “Project WASTE – Creative Reuse”, designed to inspire young minds to think creatively and responsibly about waste. This initiative encourages children to explore the artistic possibilities of discarded materials, turning them into meaningful and imaginative creations.
The upcoming session of Project WASTE will be held on November 1 and 2, focusing on the theme “Creative reuse using waste clothes”. The workshop aims to help children understand how everyday waste materials, especially old fabrics, can be transformed into beautiful art pieces through creativity and resourcefulness.
The sessions are open to children aged 7 to 14 years and will be conducted at the Indian Institute of Educational Theatre (IIET) in Mysuru. The workshop will be held on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon.
The participation fee is ₹200 per weekend.
“Through this engaging and educational initiative, IIET aims to promote environmental awareness and creativity among young learners, helping them see the value in what is often thrown away,” a release said.
