YSRCP’s East Godavari district president Chelluboina Venu Gopala Krishna has accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of showing no sincerity in solving farmers’ problems, alleging that even in his fourth term, he continues to treat agriculture as a burden.

Addressing the media at the party office at Tadepalli on Wednesday, the former Minister said, ”Despite over 60% of the State’s population depending on agriculture, the coalition government has completely neglected the sector. When farmers are in distress, Mr. Naidu is abroad. His son and HRD Minister N. Lokesh is watching cricket matches. Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan merely conducts a photo-op visit without genuine concern for the farmers,” he alleged.

During YSRCP term, he said agriculture was treated as a mission of prosperity. Through Rythu Bharosa Kendras, farmers had received assistance from seed to sale, MSP was ensured, and ₹13,500 was given annually as investment support. “The coalition government has scrapped free crop insurance and is manipulating e-Crop data,” he alleged.
