Nandyal administration to build overhead tank, and develop other infra in Konidela

Nandyal district administration has decided to use the funds provided by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to construct an overhead tank and development of basic infrastructure in Konidela village in Nandikotkur mandal. These works are likely to be completed in four months.

During his visit to undivided Kurnool district recently, Mr. Kalyan announced that he would give ₹50 lakh from his own funds for development of Konidela, which is also his surname. The funds were released and the cheque was handed over to the officials concerned by District Collector Rajakumari Gania.

Ms. Rajakumari said that the villagers brought to the notice of the officials the water problems as the two overhead reservoirs with 20 kl and 60 kl capacity have become old. She said a 90 kl capacity overhead reservoir tank would be constructed in the village apart from taking up works related to laying of roads, drainage lines and providing water supply and other basic facilities. She directed that the development works taken up should maintain quality and be completed in four months.
