Nani doesn't believe box office clashes as competition; says, 'Cinema is a momentum'

Natural Star Nani, known for his grounded nature and for cheering on fellow actors' successes, is now working on his next big release, 'The Paradise'. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the film is slated to hit theatres on March 26 next year, just a day ahead of Ram Charan's highly anticipated 'Peddi.' While often there are talks about box office clashes, the 'Jersey' star recently shared that filmmakers should support each other instead of competing.

Why success of all films matters

Speaking on the talk show Jayammu NischayammuRaa with Jagapathi, Nani shared why he doesn't see simultaneous film releases as a battle. He explained, "Many people in the industry see it as a competition if there are 2–3 releases at once, industry folks, and fans too, thinking on the lines of, 'Our films should work, and theirs shouldn't.' I have observed it since my journey as an assistant director. Nobody understands that cinema is a momentum.

All movies should find success. If others' movies don't work, your film won't work either."He shared how the film industry, therefore, can only thrive when every release collectively attracts people to theatres.

Wishing for everyone's success

Sharing a glimpse of his personal belief system, Nani added that he even carries this thought into his daily prayers. He mentioned cinema's survival depends on collective victories. If only one film works while others fail, it disrupts the rhythm of theatrical viewing.

Nani was last seen in the cop action thriller 'HIT 3', released on May 1. The film turned out to be a major commercial success. It was praised particularly for Nani's intense performance and the gripping screenplay. He will be next seen in 'The Paradise', reuniting with 'Dasara' filmmaker Srikanth Odela for their second collaboration.
