The Central Railway authorities spoke about the two recent deaths that occurred when two men fell off a moving train and died. A third man, meanwhile, was injured and was rushed to the hospital.

The train, Karmabhoomi Express, travelling from Mumbai to Bihar's Raxaul, was claimed to be packed due to upcoming Diwali festivities. Claims were also made that the victims fell from the train due to the crowd.

The railway body clarified that the case of the men losing their lives was not because of the present crowd on the train, but a case of trespassing.

The Railway Authority clarified the situation, noting the deaths were not because of a crowded train.

The railway authority managed to speak to the third injured person named Jimal Shyamji, who was admitted into the hospital and had been unconscious. When Shyamji later gained consciousness and was questioned, he informed that the two victims and himself were labourers working in Malegaon.

He also stated that the three had come to Nashik after a pilgrimage to Shirdi. After offering prayers and concluding their pilgrimage, the three had consumed alcohol and were crossing the railway track when two trains suddenly came from opposite directions, making an impact with the group, and proving fatal for two of them.

Shyamji also noted that three originally hailed from Dahod in Gujarat and had come to Maharashtra and found work as construction labourers.

The controversial incident resulted in two of the men dying on the spot, while the third, Shyamji, is still receiving treatment at the district government hospital.

The Central Railway said that the three were not passengers and were only crossing the tracks in a drunken state when the accident took place.
