National Lok Adalat: 30 cases settled at Madurai bench

Madurai: As many as 30 cases were settled at the National Lok Adalat held at the Madurai bench of Madras high court here on Saturday.Three benches headed by justice P B Balaji, justice P Vadamalai and justice P Dhanabal were constituted to take up the cases during the adalat.

A total of 383 cases were taken up out of which 30 cases were settled on Saturday.

A total sum of Rs7.07 crore was settled.At the national lok adalat held at Madurai district court, 6,187 cases were taken up out of which 5,945 cases including 201 motor accident cases, 65 civil cases cases were settled. A total sum of Rs24.18 crore was settled.
