Naveen Kasturia, who is a known face in the web series world, has shared his candid thoughts on a prevalent issue within the film industry: the hierarchy system and the disrespect shown by senior actors toward crew members.

From his own experiences as both an assistant director and an actor, Kasturia didn't hold back, calling out what he sees as a larger problem rooted in Indian culture.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Naveen voiced his concern about the way some senior actors treat junior crew members on film sets, pointing out that individuals in higher positions sometimes speak to crew members inappropriately.Citing the common practice of security guards standing to salute everyone, Kasturia questioned this behavior, highlighting it as an example of an ingrained culture where people in less powerful positions are not treated with due respect.

'No one has the right to talk in the wrong way'

The actor also pointed out that many Indian professionals working abroad notice a stark difference in work culture. They observe that, unlike in some Indian sets, it is unacceptable to speak disrespectfully to junior artists or crew members in international environments.The actor added that everyone abroad gets the respect they deserve. He said, "Koi ‘ji huzoori wala culture’ nahi hai (There is no 'sir' culture)."

The actor emphasized that respect for everyone should be a fundamental principle. He believes no one has the right to speak to others in a derogatory manner, shout, or abuse, yet he noted that such behavior is unfortunately common on film sets.
