For the unversed, Navya Nair had earlier revealed that Melbourne International Airport fined her around Rs 1.5 lakh (1,980 Australian dollars) for carrying jasmine flowers about 15 centimeters long.

The incident occurred on September this year when she arrived in Victoria to attend an Onam celebration organized by the Malayali Association. Australia’s strict biosecurity regulations prohibit bringing certain plants and flowers into the country.

This was a rule Navya humorously admits she learned the hard way.

In another news, recently, Navya also clarified a controversy surrounding a viral video that allegedly showed her refusing a photo with a child. Sharing a follow-up video with the same little girl and her mother, Navya explained, “I never intended to speak against anyone. The person who posted the video has apologized and deleted it, but reaction videos are still circulating.”
