Bam Adebayo came out on fire — scoring 18 of his 24 points in the first quarter — as Miami torched Memphis 146-114, setting two franchise records for points allowed by a Grizzlies opponent.

The Heat dropped 86 in the first half alone, with Nikola Jović (20 pts) and Kel’el Ware (19 pts, 9 rebs) backing him up. Memphis never recovered, and Ja Morant’s 12 points on 4-of-16 shooting didn’t help.

Trail Blazers 139, Warriors 119

Deni Avdija led the charge with 26 points as eight Blazers scored in double figures. Portland also made history: Tiago Splitter became the first Brazilian to coach an NBA game, filling in for Chauncey Billups (sidelined amid an FBI gambling probe). Stephen Curry dropped 35 for Golden State before calling it a night.

Lakers 128, Timberwolves 110

Luka Doncic exploded for 49 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists — with 32 in the first half — as the Lakers rolled past Minnesota. Austin Reaves (25 pts, 11 ast) and Rui Hachimura (23 pts) helped L.A. get revenge for last season’s playoff exit.

Bucks 122, Raptors 116

Giannis Antetokounmpo went full superhero mode — 31 points and 20 rebounds — to carry Milwaukee past Toronto. Brandon Ingram led the Raptors with 29 in a losing effort.

Hawks 111, Magic 107

Trae Young iced it with two clutch free throws and 25 points overall as Atlanta rallied from 14 down. Franz Wagner led Orlando with 27 in a game that slipped away late.

Pistons 115, Rockets 111

Cade Cunningham closed strong — 10 of his 21 in the fourth — as Detroit edged Houston. Kevin Durant poured in 37 for the Rockets, but it wasn’t enough.

Knicks 105, Celtics 95

Karl-Anthony Towns powered New York with 26 points and 13 boards, while Jalen Brunson added 31 as the Knicks crushed Boston in the second quarter, 42-14. The Celtics drop to 0–2.

Cavaliers 131, Nets 124

Donovan Mitchell erupted for 35 points and 6 threes, leading Cleveland wire to wire. Cam Thomas (33) and Michael Porter Jr. (31) tried to rally Brooklyn, but the Cavs’ hot shooting (54%) held firm.

Spurs 120, Pelicans 116 (OT)

Victor Wembanyama nearly pulled off a triple-double — 29 points, 11 rebounds, 9 blocks — as the Spurs outlasted New Orleans in OT. Zion Williamson (27-10-7) battled hard, but Wemby owned the extra frame.

Kings 105, Jazz 104

Domantas Sabonis tipped in the game-winner with 6.4 seconds left as Sacramento edged Utah. Zach LaVine had 31, while Lauri Markkanen led all scorers with 33 for the Jazz.

Wizards 117, Mavericks 107

Rookie Kyshawn George stunned Dallas with 34 points and 11 rebounds, leading Washington’s comeback win. Anthony Davis had 27 and 13 for the winless Mavs.

Clippers 129, Suns 102

James Harden dropped 30 points (26 in the first half) and Kawhi Leonard added 27 as L.A. blew past Phoenix. The Clippers clamped Devin Booker to just 18 in a statement win.
