In a stunning turn of events this weekend, Houston Rockets star Dorian Finney-Smith tied the knot with JazMyne Branch in a Texas vineyard ceremony that left guests in awe. Known for his clutch moments on the court, Finney-Smith brought the same energy to his wedding, complete with a jaw-dropping theme that shocked nearly 200 attendees.

Fans and family alike witnessed a celebration full of surprises and unforgettable moments.

Dorian Finney-Smith, a Houston Rockets forward, married JazMyne Branch on Saturday, August 23 at Dallas, Texas's D'Vine Grace Vineyard. This date was selected by the couple for a reason—it was the day they first formalized their relationship and the day they later got engaged. Some 190 people came to the party.

The wedding carried the theme “on the run”, which the couple said symbolized their “ride-or-die bond.”

Speaking to People Magazine, Branch explained, “The adventures we’ve been on, and the promise that no matter where life takes us, we’ll continue to run towards forever and always together.”

The couple had already held a small private ceremony before. They decided against a destination wedding so their immediate families could be present without traveling far. “Having them there meant way more than the location,” Branch said.

The evening began with Dorian Finney-Smith making a lively entrance to rapper Yo Gotti’s hit song “Real S—.” He wore a tailored suit designed by J.C. Scott. Soon after, the mood shifted when JazMyne Branch walked down the aisle to Jennifer Hudson’s song “Giving Myself.”Branch’s gown was a strapless corset dress named Tokyo by Galia Lahav, decorated with diamond-shaped embroidery. Her look was completed with makeup by KimJLuv and hair by TyDoesHair.

“The beading detail, the sheer accents, the fit. It was just too perfect,” Branch shared.The vows were both traditional and personal. Finney-Smith said he admires how Branch keeps him “humble” and challenges him to step outside his comfort zone. Branch said her husband helps her live in the present, explaining, “He keeps me grounded and reminds me that the present is a gift.”The officiating was done by Tanisha Upshaw, aunt of the former Los Angeles Lakers player, along with her husband, Anthony Upshaw.

Guests later enjoyed a buffet-style dinner and a dessert of a two-tier wedding cake baked by Delicious Cakes, featuring strawberry and white cake with buttercream frosting.The reception continued with music by DJ Trill, and the couple’s first dance was set to “I Belong To You” by Rome.
