According to NBA source Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, if the Miami Heat are unable to move Terry Rozier, they are willing to buy him out. However, since he faltered during his first full season with the team, they haven't been able to trade him.

Additionally, he is still under FBI investigation for gambling and fantasy sports, and his contract is substantial.

Terry Rozier’s future with the Miami Heat is now uncertain

Miami Heat is currently facing problems with Terry Rozier. The team is still attempting to sell him, but there is "scant interest" in the guard, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer. He said that the Heat have "some interest" in purchasing the balance of the NBA pro’s contract, but "no buyout seems imminent." He further wrote:“Sources say Miami still hopes to part with veteran guard Terry Rozier even though there is said to be scant trade interest in the 31-year-old… Rozier is scheduled to make $26.6 million this season and the Heat are said to have some interest in buying him out. To be clear, though, no buyout appears imminent.”

He signed a four-year contract with the Charlotte Hornets in 2021, and this season he will earn $26.6 million. In the last season of his deal, Terry Rozier would earn $26.6 million.

Additionally, Heat sources don't appear to be too concerned about Terry Rozier's willingness to wait and observe because they keep saying that he has been an excellent teammate. However, it's difficult to see a buyout happening anytime soon, even though there is still some belief that it would be better for everyone to separate.
