The coalition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Andhra Pradesh had successfully implemented all its election promises, especially the flagship ‘Super Six’ assurances, in over a year of assuming power, said Information and Public Relations (I&PR) and Housing Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy on Thursday.

Addressing the media at the Secretariat, Mr. Parthasarathy said the ‘Super Six–Super Hit’ public meeting in Anantapur on Wednesday was a grand success. He dismissed the opposition party’s criticism as baseless, saying that it stemmed from frustration over the rapid progress being achieved by the NDA dispensation.

Mr. Parthasarathy said the government had not removed a single pension and was spending ₹2,746 crore per month on pensions, compared to ₹1,400 crore under the previous regime.  About 47 lakh farmers had already received the first installment of the aid under the Annadata Sukhibhava-PM Kisan scheme, while the Thalliki Vandanam scheme was supporting 67 lakh students.

So far, about 2.6 crore women had availed themselves of the free bus travel under the Stree Shakti scheme at a cost of ₹2,000 crore to the exchequer. Nearly one crore families received three free LPG cylinders under the Deepam-2 initiative, he added.

The government generated over six lakh job opportunities, filled 16,672 teacher posts, and served 5.5 crore meals through Anna Canteens, the Minister said.

“Seventeen medical colleges are being built under the PPP model, avoiding loan burden, while NTR Vaidya Seva has extended free healthcare to over 5.1 crore people,” Mr. Parthasarathy said.

“The previous government failed to fulfill its promises and pushed the State into debts. In contrast, the NDA government is delivering on every assurance,” he said.
