Patna: CPI(ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said here on Thursday that it is clear from the first phase of polling in 121 assembly constituencies that the NDA govt has lost the faith of people and is on road to exit from power.“From village to town, a strong wave for change is blowing in the state. People are ready with their vote to introduce new politics, new leadership and new direction. The nervousness in the NDA is indicative of this wave for change in the state,” Bhattacharya said.“During the first phase elections, cases of poll irregularities, violence and incidents of disturbance were reported, which clearly shows that the NDA govt has lost the faith of people, and is on way to exit from power,” he said, adding that people of the state, by and large, are strongly aligned with the INDIA bloc.Bhattacharya also said in the assembly constituencies of Tarari, Agiaon, Siwan, Bhore and several other places, attempts were made to prevent the supporters of INDIA bloc from casting their votes, they were attacked and cases of bogus polling have also been reported. “Names of dalit, mahadalit, minority and poor electors were deleted, while fake electorate were added. Such instances surfaced on the polling day,” he said, asking the Election Commission to take notice of it.
