Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy interacting with prominent producers and directors of Telugu film industry in view of the recent strike by the members of Film Workers Federation, in Hyderabad on Sunday (August 24, 2025).

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stressed on bringing in structural reforms in the film industry, especially in worker-producer relations, and made it clear that the government will not tolerate attempts to monopolise or control systems outside the legal framework.

Mr. Reddy felt that film producers should treat workers with humanity, and wanted a comprehensive policy involving producers, workers, and the government be evolved. He expressed these views when a delegation of leading producers and directors met him at his residence here on Sunday (August 24).

He said the government will stand by both producers and workers, stressing the need for reforms to ensure fair practices. “The working atmosphere in the film industry should be healthy. I will also invite workers and hold discussions with them. Our government will protect both producers and cine workers,” he assured.

The Chief Minister said he intervened to resolve the cine workers’ strike as disputes should not disrupt the industry atmosphere. “The film industry needs monitoring. Let us prepare a new framework, a handbook for the future of Telugu cinema,” he said.

He said with Hyderabad already hosting international film shoots, efforts will be made to ensure more Telugu films were shot within the State while positioning Tollywood on the global stage. He assured them of the government’s full support for the growth and welfare of the industry. Necessary facilities will also be created in the upcoming Skill University for cinema-related training.

The meeting was attended by CM’s advisor Vem Narender Reddy and Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju. Among those present were Allu Aravind, D. Suresh Babu, Gemini Kiran, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, apart from leading directors Trivikram Srinivas, Boyapati Srinu, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Vamshi Paidipally, Anil Ravipudi and Venky Kudumula.
