has revealed the updated 2026 Discovery Sport SUV globally. The MY 2025 model gets new special edition trims, cosmetic exterior updates, updated interior, new tech, features and more. The updated SUV has been launched in the UK at £45,440 (around Rs 48.39 lakh INR at current exchange rates). Although not officially confirmed, the updated Discovery Sport is expected to launch in India sometime in early 2026.

New Discovery Sport

The 2026 Discovery Sport is offered in three variants - Dynamic S, Landmark and Metropolitan. The entry-level Dynamic S trim features a darker exterior treatment, with a gloss black finish on the grille, bumpers, and other design accents. It also gets a new alloy wheel design. Moving inside, it now features a curved 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment with the latest Pivi Pro interface. Other features include connected car tech, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while upgrades like a fully digital driver’s display, paddle shifters, and improved cabin materials raise the overall premium feel.

Discovery Sport Landmark

Next comes the Landmark Edition priced at £49,100 (about Rs 52.31 lakh at current exchange rates). This trim has been launched to honour 35 years of the Discovery nameplate. It incorporates subtle nods to the original 1989 model, such as a mountain graphic on the door sills and also projected by the puddle lamps. Inside, it gets a 360-degree camera setup, panoramic sunroof, roof rails, and the brand’s ‘Click & Go’ rear-seat tablet holders.The top-of-the-line Metropolitan Edition is priced at £55,885 (about Rs 64 lakh at current exchange rates). This trim is built with a focus on high-end luxury and features Atlas Silver-finished Discovery badging on both the bonnet and tailgate, along with Indus Silver accents on the front and rear skid plates. The front grille also gets a silver foil insert Metropolitan-branded tread plates for the doors and 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Key highlights include 14-way power-adjustable Windsor leather seats with heating and ventilation, a 14-speaker 650W Meridian audio system, cabin air filtration, and a digital rear-view mirror which helps to maintain visibility even with cargo-loaded rear seats.

The Discovery Sport continues with its existing powertrain options, all equipped with four-wheel drive and hybrid technology. The diesel variants come in two versions of the 2.0-litre Ingenium engine, offering 161 bhp or 201 bhp, both supported by a 48V mild-hybrid system aimed at improving stop-start function. The plug-in hybrid variant remains available, pairing a petrol engine with an electric motor and a 15 kWh battery, producing 265 bhp and offering an electric-only range of up to 58 km.
