The maiden cabinet meeting chaired by Karnataka’s Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar approved a project to construct a multi-specialty hospital in Yadgir, MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur has said.
Former chief minister Siddaramaiah had announced a multispecialty hospital for Yadgir in the budget, and earmarked ₹100 crore for the purpose. The Chief Minister had approved the project, which was discussed in the Cabinet meeting, Mr. Tunnur said.
The multispecialty hospital will have facilities to conduct necessary medical examinations, and offer complete treatment. The new hospital is expected to benefit people of Yadgir district, the MLA said.
“The MRI scanning facility will soon start functioning, as the initial work to set up the machine and the technical equipment is nearing completion,” he said.
