New NTRUHS Executive Council formed

The State government on Friday formed the new Executive Council of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) and nominated eight medical professionals for the same.

According to an official release from the Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu approved G. Subba Rao, former principal of Government Medical College, Guntur, M. Vishunu Mahesh Babu, former anesthesia professor at Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada, K. Madhavi, professor of gynecology, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati, Surapaneni Suresh Babu, professor of orthopedics, Dr. Pinnamaneni Sidhartha Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation, Vijayawada, M. Jaichandra Naidu, professor of radiology, Maharaja Institute of Medical Sciences, Vizianagaram, Chapara Sudhakar, pediatrician, Amadalavalasa, T.D. Varun Kumar Reddy, Proddatur, and Y. Sai Kishore, pediatrician, Vijayawada.

In addition to the nominees, five ex-officio members have also been made part of the Executive Council. They are Special Chief Secretary (Health), Finance Secretary, Director of Medical Education, Commissioner (AYUSH) and Director of Health.
