New SPs appointed for Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur

In a reshuffle, the State government has appointed a new Superintendent of Police (SP) for Vellore, Ranipet and Tirupattur districts.

According to a press release, A. Myilvaganan has been transferred as the Superintendent of Police of Vellore in place of N. Mathivanan. Prior to it, Mr. Myilvaganan served as SP, Narcotics Intelligence Bureau CID, Chennai.

In Ranipet, the incumbent Vivekananda Shukla has been transferred as Superintendent of Police of Tiruvallur. Ayman Jamal, who is currently Deputy Commissioner of Avadi Police Commissionerate, has been transferred as new SP for Ranipet.

In Tirupattur, V. Shyamala Devi has been appointed as new SP of the district. She earlier served as SP of Central Intelligence Unit (Prohibition Offences), Chennai. The incumbent Tirupattur SP Shreya Gupta has been transferred as SP of Central Intelligence Unit (Prohibition Offences), Chennai, the release said.
