NewJeans to join ADOR again after the court ruling, netizens react

The official verdict of NewJeans' case against their management agency has brought forth a lot of questions about whether they would be filing an appeal in court or whether they would oblige by the ruling.

Now, recent reports have confirmed that one by one, all of the members of the group have confirmed that they are ready to join and start activities as per usual. The decision has however, been met with a lot of mixed reactions.

NewJeans to promote under their management agency again

The management agency had recently announced that Hyein and Haerin will be the only ones joining the label for future activities as per Allkpop. This had led many to believe that the group may possibly split up.

However in a separate statement, the remaining members, Hanni, Danielle and Minji also confirmed that they too will be joining the label again after much consideration. The company’s initial statement had read, “After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR, the two members have decided to respect the court’s ruling and comply with their exclusive contracts. We will do our best to ensure Haerin and Hyein can continue their entertainment activities smoothly.

The public reaction to the news has been extremely mixed. While many have been celebrating the news, a lot of them have also commented about how the girl group should issue an official apology about everything that has happened so far. One person’s comment about the matter read that, “They should have to kneel in front of ILLIT, LE SSERAFIM, and ILLIT's manager, and apologize~ All HYBE idols and employees should wear body cameras, for fear of being evaluated every time they run into Hanni in the HYBE building”, while another shared that, “It's amazing how they kept their pride strong until the end and made this 'announcement' without even an apology.

They lost the trial and made a big fuss about appealing, but now they have decided don't want to pay the penalty fee and have decided to go back. It's so annoying that they're being arrogant like this.”Many have also commented about how the group stood by Min Hee Jin, the company’s former CEO, throughout the case, but have changed their stances the moment the official verdict was shared. One person’s comment about this read, “Fans are excited for them to make new songs, but their music will never be as high quality as it was again, because Min Hee Jin is gone.”
