The Los Angeles Dodgers won over the Toronto Blue Jays by a stunning score of 6-5. Dodgers designated hitter and pitcher Shohei Ohtani has so far scored six hits and five RBIs in the first three games of the World Series against Toronto.

On the other hand, the Washington Commanders lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, the three-time reigning Super Bowl champions, by an embarrassing score of 7-28.

No wonder, NFL Network’s American sportscaster Chris Rose preferred to watch Ohtani over Commanders’ backup-turned-starting quarterback Marcus Mariota. Rose shared a video footage of Ohtani’s 8th post-season home-run and captioned it: “Look, I love the NFL, but if you chose to watch Marcus Mariota instead of Ohtani tonight...we

have to talk.” One fan agreed, “Not Mariota; I’m watching Mahomes.” Another chimed in, “Agreed! Ohtani is history being written in front of our eyes.”

Marcus Mariota filled in for Jayden Daniels but lost to the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes

Washington Commanders starting quarterback Jayden Daniels was ruled out with a low-grade hamstring injury suffered during the Week 7 loss against the Dallas Cowboys. Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota filled in for Daniels in the Week 8 matchup against the Chiefs.

He started strong by bringing a 7-7 tie before halftime. But in the second half, Mariota struggled and threw two interceptions, and the Chiefs outscored the Commanders by 21-0.

Patrick Mahomes also threw two interceptions in the first half, but he scored three touchdowns in the second half, leading to a 28-7 win over Washington. It’s only natural that a fan commented on NFL Network’s Chris Rose’s tweet, “Choosing Mariota over Ohtani is wild 😭 priorities, people!”

Fans react to American sportscaster’s X post on MLB vs NFL

A fan had set clear priorities: “Baseball clears the NFL by leaps and bounds. The drama of it all. They’re missing out on the greatest game.” A fan reminded Chris Rose that multiviewing is available in 2025: “It’s 2025 Chris. They have this thing called Multi View now.” A third fan reiterated, “Two screens baby. Two screens. TV + ipad.” A fourth fan shared a photo of two screens placed side to side, with one showing an MLB matchup and the other showing an NFL game and captioned it: “I did this tonight.

Sound on the baseball game.” A fifth fan shared, “I'd watch Baseball over a football game anytime.” Also Read: “Should’ve stuck with baseball”: Arizona Cardinals’ QB Kyler Murray loses to Seattle Seahawks for the 8th time in a row
