The police seized 752 gm of MDMA tablets, 8 gm, and 37 mg of cocaine powder, and a two-wheeler used in the illegal trade. The total value of the seized contraband was estimated at ₹75 lakh. The accused was produced before the court on October 31 and remanded in judicial custody.
In a separate case, the Malleswaram police, based on information that a person was peddling ganja and hashish (weed oil) near the Jataka Stand on R.P. Road, conducted a raid and apprehended the accused. Upon interrogation, the accused revealed that he was from another State and had come to Bengaluru for his education. Due to financial difficulties in paying college fees, he purchased ganja and hashish at a low price from an unknown person and started selling them to customers for a higher profit.
The police seized 360 gm of ganja, 1,250 ml of weed oil, a weighing machine, a mobile phone, and ₹1,500 cash, worth ₹15.8 lakh from him.
