Nik Bonitto didn’t just help the Denver Broncos pull off a wild comeback on Sunday (Oct. 19, 2025) at Empower Field at Mile High against the New York Giants; he made sure his voice was heard off the field too.

After the Broncos erased a big 19-point deficit and beat the Giants 33-32, Bonitto took aim at two Giants defenders, Abdul Carter and Kayvon Thibodeaux, via a now-deleted social-media post. He wrote: “5 and 51 left so fast I couldn’t find ’em after the game. #Delusional” referring to Thibodeaux and Carter.

In the lead-up to the game, Carter had fired verbal jabs at Bonitto’s teammate Jonathon Cooper, and Thibodeaux had added his own chatter.

But when the whistle blew and the game was done, Bonitto turned the tables. In his post, he suggested Carter and Thibodeaux were nowhere to be found after the final whistle despite their pre-game talk.

The message immediately drew attention because Bonitto’s Broncos defence has been roaring this season, the unit led the NFL with 30 sacks through six games. Although Bonitto did not register a sack in the game, his side picked up the win in dramatic fashion.

The Giants got a big early lead, and the Broncos stormed back in the final quarter to snatch victory. The post-game roast from Bonitto pointed at Carter and Thibodeaux’s absence in making that impact themselves. Some saw it as trash-talk, others as vindication for Denver’s defence. Also Read: Inside The Close Friendship Of Brittany Mahomes And Taylor Swift: How They Support Each Other
