Nissan Motor India
has reduced prices across the New Nissan Magnite lineup after the revised GST rates came into effect. The company said it is passing the entire tax benefit to buyers, leading to a drop of up to Rs 1 lakh on top-end variants of the SUV. Nissan said the revised pricing covers the entire Magnite range, with savings recorded across MT, EZ-Shift, Turbo, and CVT variants. Below is a full variant-wise list showing pre- and post-GST prices.
The entry-level New Magnite Visia MT is now priced at Rs 5.61 lakh, positioning it among the most affordable GNCAP 5-star rated SUVs in India. Mid-level trims, including the N-Connecta CVT and KURO CVT Special Edition, are now available below Rs 10 lakh. At the top end, the CVT Tekna and CVT Tekna+ variants have seen price cuts of about Rs 97,300 and Rs 1,00,400, respectively. In addition to the SUV price cuts, Nissan has reduced the cost of the Magnite CNG retrofit kit to Rs 71,999, lowering it by Rs 3,000. The kit, developed by government-approved vendor Motozen, is homologated and fitted at authorised centres. It comes with a three-year or one lakh kilometre warranty and is compatible with the 1.0-litre NA petrol MT variant, without affecting the Magnite’s 336-litre boot space.
Recently, the Magnite also scored a full five star safety rating at the Global NCAP for adult occupancy and 3 stars for child safety. The SUV has now scored an impressive 32.31 out of 34 for adult protection and 33.64 out of 49 in the child safety assessment. The Magnite is offered with two engine options - 1.0-litre NA petrol with 72hp of power, 96Nm torque, and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol with 100hp of power, 160Nm torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across both. The NA petrol is offered with a 5-speed AMT, whereas the turbo-petrol engine gets a CVT option. Nissan claims a fuel efficiency of 20kpl with the manual and 17.4kpl for the CVT turbo variants.Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said: “This GST reduction is a timely stimulus for the automotive industry and a direct win for our customers. At Nissan, we are committed to passing on the entire advantage of this policy to consumers, ensuring greater affordability and accessibility. As we approach the festive season—a traditionally vibrant period for the market—we anticipate this measure will boost consumer enthusiasm and help drive sustained momentum in the automotive sector."
