Aurangabad: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday accused PM Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar of betraying Bihar’s youth. “Nitish has reduced Bihar’s youth to the nation’s labourers,” he said. Addressing two rallies in Aurangabad and Kutumba, Gandhi said Nitish had failed to create opportunities for the young, forcing them to migrate across the country for menial work.“Bihar, once home to the world-renowned Nalanda University, has now been reduced to a land where young people are forced to migrate across India for menial work,” Gandhi told the crowd. “Nitish has made the sons of this soil labourers, not builders of Bihar’s future,” he added.Taking aim at PM Modi, the Congress leader said the BJP and NDA leaders had misled the public with hollow promises. “Modi ji’s words can no longer be trusted.

He has only shown dreams and delivered nothing,” Gandhi said. He promised that if the INDIA bloc came to power, it would establish a world-class university in Bihar “where students from China and Japan will come to study.”Gandhi also mocked the recent “fake Yamuna” episode during Chhath celebrations in Delhi, calling it a “photo-op farce.” “They created an artificial Yamuna for a photo-op and mocked Bihar’s faith.

When the truth came out, the drama ended abruptly,” he said. He alleged that the Bihar govt was being controlled remotely by Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah.According to Gandhi, the BJP knows it cannot win the hearts of Bihar’s people and is therefore “resorting to vote theft.” Reaffirming his party’s commitment to safeguarding the Constitution, he said, “The Constitution guarantees rights to Dalits, backward classes, and the poor.

The INDIA bloc govt will not be a govt of caste or religion but of all people. Our priorities will be employment, education and healthcare.

Rejecting dependency on foreign manufacturing, he added, “We don’t want ‘Made in China’ anymore; we want ‘Made in Bihar’.”Gandhi linked rising unemployment to what he called the Modi govt’s “cheap distractions” through social media. “They gave cheap data instead of jobs. They told youth to make reels instead of asking questions.

Watching and making reels has become an addiction – a distraction to keep young people silent. The money goes to industrialists and the youth are left with only entertainment as a drug,” he said. The rallies saw a massive turnout with enthusiastic supporters waving flags and chanting slogans for change. Concluding his address, Gandhi appealed to voters to elect Congress candidates Anand Shankar Singh from Aurangabad and Rajesh Ram from Kutumba with a decisive mandate.Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Rajesh Ram and party candidate Anand Shankar Singh also addressed the gatherings, echoing Gandhi’s call for a new era of justice, employment and inclusive development under the INDIA bloc.
